Homegrown Fort Collins is a month long celebration of our local food and agricultural roots. Homegrown Fort Collins introduces our community to the local farming and agricultural community and creates connections between the Northern Colorado public, our local growers, and our fine chefs and restaurants.

Battle of the Burners - September 25, 2010

Six local chefs compete for best first, second and third course using locally sourced ingredients. The audience will enjoy plates of all six of the chefs’ creations, each paired with a great local beer. Live music and beer garden.

Adventures in Food - September 18, 2010

 

Join Chef David Daggett, owner of Tastebuds Epicurean Café, on a culinary adventure. Chef David will teach you how to prepare the locally sourced, multi-course meal he’ll be serving you. Enjoy live music and complimentary libations while you savor this one-of-a-kind dining experience at the Fort Collins Masonic Temple.

Youth Adventures in Food - September 18, 2010

 

It’s okay to PLAY with your food and EAT it too. Children ages 5 and up can join Beet Street and a local chef as they learn how to prepare healthy, locally sourced and fun lunch box foods.

Downtown Tasting Tours - September 10-26, 2010


Eighteen Downtown restaurants create custom menus highlighting foods prepared by local chefs using locally sourced ingredients.

Harvestival - September 11-12, 2010


Grant Family Farms is hosting its 3rd annual Harvestival, featuring live music, local food and drink, farm tours, fun for the kids (hay rides, pumpkin bowling, straw bale maze), and farmer’s market.

Sustainable Living Fair - September 18-19, 2010

The Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association is hosting its 11th annual Sustainable Living Fair, featuring nationally acclaimed speakers, 250 exhibitors, and more than 50 workshops and demonstrations.
