Battle of the Burners - Sept. 25, 2010:

Six well known local chefs compete for best first, second, and third course using locally sourced ingredients. Attendees will enjoy plates of all six of the chefs’ creations, each paired with a great local beer.   

Adventures in Food - Sept. 18, 2010:

Join Chef David Daggett, owner of Tastebuds Epicurean Café, as he teaches you how to prepare the locally sourced, multi-course meal he’ll be serving you for dinner. Chef Happy, Scott Hapner, will cook lunch with your kids at Youth Adventures in Food.

Downtown Tasting Tours - Sept. 10-26, 2010:

Eighteen downtown restaurants offer custom menus highlighting foods prepared by local chefs, featuring locally sourced ingredients.

PARTNER EVENTS:

Sustainable Living Fair - Sept. 18-19, 2010: Featuring nationally acclaimed speakers, 250 exhibitors, and more than 50 workshops and demonstrations.

Harvestival - Sept. 11-12, 2010: Featuring live music, local food and drink, fun for the kids (hay rides, pumpkin bowling, straw bale maze), and farmer’s market.

Austin's American Grill

 

Entree
Mojito Leg of Lamb with Mint Pesto:Leg of Lamb- Locally raised lamb slow roasted on the rotisserie and hand carved.  Served with mint pesto , brown rice Quinoa pilaf and Grant Farms Vegetables.  $18.95

Dessert
Traditional crème brulee baked with Colorado Palisade peaches and topped with caramelized sugar.

Appetizer:
Local beer battered veggie plater, served with house made dressing

Entree:
pasta, saute veggies, in an heirloom tomato sauce, topped with local dairy cheese.

Dessert:
Pallisade peach and rubarb tart, topped with fresh whip cream

Cafe Ardour

Appetizer:
Gazpacho - chilled cucumber and tomato soup, garnished with a dollop of sour cream (featuring Native Hill and a local tomato grower's produce)

Entree:
Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese salad - served over a bed of mixed greens and garnished with toasted walnuts (featuring Native Hill produce)

CooperSmith's Pub & Brewery

Pub Side Entree:
Grilled chicken breast over wilted spinach. Topped with marinated Heirloom tomatoes and sauteed mushrooms. All of these products were supplied by local venders.

Pool Side Entree:
A traditional Margherita pizza topped with fresh Mozzarella cheese, Heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil.

Enzio’s Italian Kitchen

Entree:
6 oz Hand cut Lamb Sirloin topped with homemade mint pesto and served with a side of risotto and Grant Family Farms spaghetti squash.

Fish

Entree:
Pan seared Colorado trout drizzled in a Windsor Dairy Glendlevy fondue sauce (made with Guy Drew unoaked Chardonnay, Cortez, CO) served over locally sourced spinach, beans and leeks.  $22
